Another Week in SoDak`

Yet another week in fabulous South Dakota. . .no storms a'brewin,' however.  Just really cold.

I had a "you-know-you're-from-South Dakota-(slash)-you-know-you're-a-redneck-when" moment tonight when I was (surprise!) leaving Wal-Mart! As I exited the parking lot with Papa Murphy's pizza stashed safely in my vehicle, I noticed the vehicle in front of me.  It was a minivan: circa-early-90's-pre-driver's side door-Dodge Caravan.  Very old school and enough to make Red Green weep.  The missing back window had been replaced by DUCT TAPE, of course! Several carefully placed rows of the stuff, in fact.  I didn't see the van's driver, sadly.  But he/she may possibly have been one of the "People Of Wal-Mart" types. Am I one of them, too?

Gotta knit and read some J.D. Salinger.  I've never read Catcher in the Rye--a big divulgence on my part as an English teacher, and probably enough evidence to revoke my degree.

Fizzled Storm

A ginormo storm was predicted by our manic KELO "meteorologists" for this weekend. Didn't happen, but it's gloomy outside. We're just "one day closer to spring" as my sister said today.

Cassie just got home from Sioux City; we're all so very happy to see her and have her to ourselves for a few days!

I downloaded new music today: the new Vampire Weekend album ("Contra") and "Hit By a Train," a greatest hits compilation by my new fave group the Old 97's.

Tierney's kitty kat hat is almost finished. I gotta add the pom-poms, but the rest is complete! I'll add a picture with her wearing it--it's cool and cute.

Time for some relaxation and a night of watching "Flight of the Conchords."

New Posting--ESA Class Testing Stuff

This is my Google blog and seems much easier thus far to manage. "We'll see once," as my Nana would have said.

At this class I've played around with creating another wikipage and I've discovered a new kind of herbal tea! Celestial Seasonings Black Cherry Berry is mmm.. . .mmm. . . tasty! I think I'll stop at a Sioux Falls grocery store and pick up some before I head back to Yankton.

Hope this posts!
